Init('Bug Busters')

I've had this nagging idea for a new blog about half a year now. Ever since my first real software development job in 2012, I have joined the bandwagon of coders who frantically search the web many dozen times a day--either learning about the best way to handle a new language feature or looking up frequent response to specific error messages. I applaud the many thousands of brave noobs who asked the questions (especially those that you can't help but notice they don't speak English), and the many kind souls who gave good reusable answers--true to the coding style we strive to achieve every day.

I've been exposed to lots of different technologies in the past few years, and have run into a plethora of bugs and other interesting cases along the way. I wish that I could recall off the top of my head random trivia such as "what was your most frustrating bug that resolved with the most simple fix?" Unfortunately, due to the volume of code I'm pushing through every day, that knowledge quickly slips out of my short-term memory and into a rather dark void.

Not only that, I've felt this urge to actually make some contributions to the vast amount of debug knowledge that's out on the internet these days. I've been able to guide tons of my peers because of the experience that I've already picked up in my relatively short time coding professionally.

That's why I'm wanting to start this little blog out, as a simple way of recording particularly juicy bugs, as well as neat software development tricks that I come across. Who knows, maybe Google will actually drop someone off at my doorstep!

That being said, it's not everyday that I run into a blog-worthy bug, in my opinion; I do try to be a solid programmer, after all! If it's just me posting to this blog, it's going to be a pretty slow one. This makes me interested to see if anyone else would like to join me as a co-author of this blog! If this at all interests you, leave a comment below with your Blogger email, or reach out to me on my Google+ account (or through my other personal channels, if you know me well).

Let's squash bugs and help our fellow coders out!
